The Diamondbacks manufacture a run off Payamps in the 8th—Alek Thomas singles, steals second, and scores on Gabriel Moreno’s flare to left—but Williams slams the door in the 9th with his signature Airbender changeup. Brewers tack on an insurance run in the 8th when Sal Frelick plates Willy Adames against a tiring Kevin Ginkel. Key edges: Milwaukee’s top-five bullpen, superior defensive efficiency (plus-27 DRS), and extra thump from Chourio/Contreras.
