The Marlins scrape another run off Adam Ottavino in the eighth thanks to a Luis Arraez flare and late baserunning pressure, but Drew Smith slams the door with a clean ninth.
Home-field familiarity keeps the game close, yet the Mets’ deeper bullpen and superior run-creation in high-leverage spots give them the narrow 4-3 victory projected above.
